Tales From the Tavern - Series

About the Series

Originally written as a single sketch and performed by the Sketch team "Sketch Me Home Tonight", Tales is a series currently in pre-production. Set in a typical fantasy setting it tells the story of a tavern and it's staff. The kind you always seem to find in every fantasy roleplaying or video game. The intention is to create 10 5-7 minute shorts about the goings on in the tavern

Characters

KAY

  • Owner and former adventurer who thought opening a tavern would be more relaxing than fighting dragons. They were wrong.

MARCUS

  • Bartender. Former member of Kay's adventuring party. Knows the whole tavern thing will blow up, but is trying to support Kay as best he can.

AZURAN

  • Server. Warlock intern. Serving job pays for school. Way too powerful, not detail oriented, and lacking in common sense. We're not sure how the world will end, but this idiot will somehow be involved.

"JANE"

  • Host. Assassin who says she's retired from the trade. There's a strong chance her working at the tavern is just as a cover for her next hit. Got the job after candidates all met with untimely accidents.

MARGOG

  • Bouncer. Margog the Barbarian. Always speaks in 3rd person, looks menacing, and continually seems like they're about 2 seconds away from going full mad-dog berserker mode on the entire bar.

Related Stories

These sketches are also fantasy related and may be incorporated into the Tavern series or be produced as stand alone works.

Shiny Anvil Inc

  • The story of the magical repair crew and their willingness to work for any client. How bad are they? They sealed the Crack of Doom so those jerk Hobbits couldn't destroy the One ring.

GOSHA

  • Like our own OSHA, but for goblins. And since goblins always run the risk of overpopulation, GOSHA's job is to ensure that those workplace fatalities are a daily occurrence and that no work site is too safe.
